Meeting Details

The public is welcome to our meetings. We generally meet on the last Wednesday of the month, but we do not meet in December, July and August. A social period starts at 6:30 p.m., and the meeting starts at 7:15 p.m. with announcements. Meetings generally end around 8:30 p.m.

The May meeting is traditionally a dinner meeting that includes an extra fee.

Our meeting place is in Orinda at the Masonic Center, 9 Altarinda Road. We have a charge of $5, $1 for student members, and $1 for K–12 teachers. This includes snacks and one drink and helps defray the cost of the hall.

Our annual membership is $25 ($5 for students), paid electronically or (if necessary) by check. See the Membership page for details.

During the early COVID years we broadcasted our meetings live and recorded the presentations for later posting on our YouTube channel, @NCGS1000. Zoom videos of earlier meetings are available there starting with the 2022–23 season. As of the 2024–25 season, we no longer broadcast meetings via Zoom.
